Origins of the Prime Radiant:

The Prime-Radiant, a brain child of Isaac Asimov, is described in the Foundation series.   This site applies the concept of the Prime Radiant. Asimov's Foundation is set far in the future, where humans are dispersed throughout the galaxy.  The Galactic Empire is vast and declining. Hari Seldon, a psychohistorian and mathematician develops a scientific approach to predict the future. Seldon discovers a Dark Age is approaching. Seldon develops a plan to save the accumulated culture and knowledge of the human race  -- the  Encyclopedia Galactica. The first trilogy  (Foundation , Foundation and Empire , Second Foundation) provides the framework. Further elaboration is provided in subsequent books - by some of the best visionary science fiction authors.  The last one, Foundation's Triumph    was released in 2000 and completed.
